This is much worse than Atlanta right now. I would not suspect Milwaukee would end up with a worse murder rate than Atlanta. So far, Atlanta has around 44 murders. If the pace keeps up, Atlanta will finish the year at 88.

If Milwaukee's pace keeps up, it will finish the year at 26.7 murders per 100,000. Atlanta will finish the year at 19.6 murders per 100,000.

We got a guy who is going to live on top of a billboard until St.Louis can go 7 days without a shooting.
I'm afraid someone will try to pick him off.

For the first time in more than a decade, overall crime is up in Los Angeles through the first six months of the year, rising by about 12%, according to a Times analysis. The increase has continued despite the city's efforts to stem the crime surge, which followed consecutive declines since 2003.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and Police Chief Charlie Beck are expected Wednesday to address the city’s crime numbers during a 10 a.m. news conference at the LAPD’s headquarters.

Besides homicide -- which was down about 8% -- all other categories of violent and property crime have increased this year compared with the same period last year, according to a Times analysis of LAPD data through June 27.

Philadelphia has somewhat more murders to date this year than the past two, but is still significantly down from what it has been in recent memory

I lived up there for 28 years... It's an extremely segregated city racially. You can almost draw a line between the races and where their neighborhoods are. Does comes in handy when looking for legit, authentic restaurants though!

The North side of Milwaukee is the leader of the pack when it comes to crime... However, it has started to spread to the South side and the Northwest parts of the city as well.

Black on black is accounting for about 80-85% of the homicides.

For the first half of the year, PER CAPITA, you were about twice as likely to be murdered in Milwaukee than you were in Chicago.

San Francisco (pop. 852,000) is at 27. Here's the murder count compared to previous years at this time, plus the year-end total:

2015 - 27
2014 - 19 (45)
2013 - 23 (48)
2012 - 40 (69)
2011 - 30 (50)
2010 - 29 (50)
2009 - 26 (47)
2008 - 59 (98)
2007 - 61 (100)
2006 - 45 (86)
2005 - 41 (96)

Across the bay, Oakland (pop. 400,000) is at 49 murders.

San Jose (pop. 1,000,000) is at 11 murders.

The entire SF Bay Area (pop. 7.5 million) has around 140 murders so far. Over the past decade the Bay Area has been having 200 to 400 murders per year.
