I never even said I voted for DC..... don't see how you even got that out of my comment.
I voted for Boston. I'm a Boston college alumni and I'm pretty aware of it's culture and it's way more prevalent than any of these cities listed especially Seattle.

Boston is more transient than Philadelphia.
Its not about influence here, or word association. Its about having these people in a room and seeing which one would have a stronger identity to where they're from. Aka, it being more obvious.
Having someone from Boston or Philadelphia vs someone from say, Des Moines, makes it quite obvious. Not saying Des Moines is void of culture, but it doesn't have near the identity that any Northeast city does.
Boston's culture is not "way more" prevalent than Philadelphia. Not by a long shot. I find it quite the other way around. Philadelphia IMO has more character than Boston does, but as Philadelphia revitalizes, it'll probably lose it the way Boston did.
