Toronto is hosting the 2015 Pan-American Games and the next games after that in 2019 appear to be taken too, so the next ones are in 2023 and then 2027.

Which North American city do you think can host the games, should host the games, would you want to see hosting the games? Why?

What changes in infrastructure (venues, transit, hotel accommodations and the like) would you want to see from the place of your choice?

I rarely vote on City-Data polls but I'll go ahead and vote this time and make an exception to let my choice be known openly to all.

I missed that, sorry, make it 2023 or 2027 then.

I don't think they've announced 2023 yet, have they? If they have, then move on to 2027. If they haven't then keep it to 2023 and if you want, can voice your support for a place in 2027 too.

I'll go with Miami, although admittedly, those that have also voted for Seattle are right on, it would make a terrific choice too. I'll still go with Miami though, I think "Pan-American" totally fits Miami, in a very great way.

Well based on previous bids, it doesn't seem that American cites are interested in host a Pam Am games. The last American city to host was Indianapolis in 1987 . So definitely an American city for 2023- I think Miami is a great choice. After Miami, either LA or Atlanta, I assume they still have all the infrastructure from hosting the summer Olympics.

Atlanta will have a barely 2 year old incredible stadium for both the Falcons and the Braves and has exploded since the 96 Olympics.

Atlanta actually seems like a really great choice to be honest.

No one cares about the Pan-American games (I'm willing to bet most Americans have never even heard of them).

Just do it in a city where no new infrastructure has to be built.

Does anyone have any insight or studies highlighting the economic impacts of hosting a Pan Am Games. I would imagine if most Olympic Games lose money (Some do turn a profit) then would the Pan Am Games be the same?

I understand the sacrifice to host an Olympic Games as the entire planet is watching. Pan Am Games? Not so much.

Anyways. Any city that has the infrastructure in place to host it. Atlanta seems like a perfect fit.
