Fascinating, I suppose, but completely irrelevant to the thread topic, unless those "Latino immigrants on welfare" are really secretly wealthy global expats hiding out in the slums of PA.

Say What..... Latino immigrants...ARE RELEVANT TO THE THREAD. You are the one claiming as if they can't get welfare. I merely noted they surely can and do. Even in small town America, they relocate to.... NOLA101 and what the heck do you mean??? Saying small towns of PA are slums... another

The list of US cities in order

1)NYC (12.2%)
2)Los Angeles (3.2%)
3)Miami (2.6%)
4)San Francisco (2.4%)

After that, no US city makes it. My guess is 5-9 would be something like Boston, Chicago, DC, Seattle, Atlanta, Dallas,
I don't know what the provenance or how much credibility is associated with this report, but this is an incredibly embarrassing showing for Chicago.

It's to be expected, expats don't know much about Chicago. It's kind of a city in the middle of nowhere, with cold winters and no 'sex' appeal. So on a survey, why would anyone declare they want to live there?

Now when the chips fall on the table, and they realize that the lucrative job will be in Chicago, or something like this, they will move there and give it a shot.

Chicago is an afterthought outside the U.S.

What on Earth are you talking about? Chicago is an amazing cultural mecca and cosmopolitan city that's seen a dozen generations of immigration from all over the world. It's just not THE mecca at the current moment, but that doesn't mean it's this no-mans-land you claim it to be.

I'd venture to guess that it's more world-renown than Miami, for instance.

You'd venture wrong then.

^^^^^There is no use trying to defend another city with this poster? Especially Chicago. In threads even he creates? His favorite city to lessen is Chicago, for some reason. He always makes sure he notes if Miami is higher in some poll, then Chicago specifically. I've seen him in post, where others defend Chicago, and he starts with personal insults, going a bit ballistic? Not letting it go..... to boast for Miami. Then others get heated too. Then threads get closed by Moderators. Seems he needs to deny any other city its due? Doesn't matter, how many others disagree. These comments of his here now. Are tame.... compared to other threads. But I still end up posting sometimes....... There are a few.... Chicago mockers that I regularly see in Threads. I do not go into Miami threads unless Chicago as in the title. But this thread of his was generic. With no city in the title so I came in to see..... him at Chicago again.......

Is anything I said an attack? Saying Chicago has cold winters, no sex appeal, and in the middle of nowhere was more to explain why Chicago didn't make the list because 'Big Lake' was wondering.

Well, I guess that's your opinions...we just don't agree. Architecturally, Chicago wins.
