Do you agree with the Gallup poll results? It seems pretty accurate to me. I mean look at the list of most unsafe cities. Alot of those cities are havens for poverty. And they say when you have alot of poverty, you tend to have alot of crime. Then look at the list of most safe cities. Some of those are small college towns.
And another question, out of those cities on the "Most Safe Msa's" list, what one would you want to live in the most and why?
I would want to live in Honolulu, Minneapolis, Portland, Boulder, Madison. I am from the SLO area, not sure I would want to live there again but it's definitely a good place to live.
Funny how you don't see the "dangerous cities" on the worst MSAs here. Detroit, St. Louis, Birmingham, Baltimore, etc. are all missing. Could that be because they aren't as dangerous as people make them out to be? Hmmm...

That's funny that Davenport is listed as one of the safest. It's actually the most dangerous statistically out of the main Iowa metros.
Ranking of crime rates in Iowa cities out of the 368 metro areas in the country and the % ranking in the country from safest to least safe:
Davenport has a murder rate of 1.8/100,000. While much less than half of the US average, it's still the highest murder rate in the state. Most metros are between 0 and 1.5 per 100,000. Just funny that a city is Iowa is listed in anything at all.....and it's people in Davenport coming up as perceived as one of the most safe in the country.
