That's probably worse; again, Atlanta has a traditional, historic downtown with everything that comes along with that: a solid grid, highrises, historic buildings, attractions, large venues, multiple transit stations, etc. Atlanta's downtown is much more like Richmond's than Fairfax.

To the person earlier we are comparing Downtown Houston/Dallas/Atlanta to the urban nodes of D.C. We are not comparing 2 recent nodes to each other. To be honest if your talking about streetlife, The Katy Mills Mall area is more busy than Downtown Houston or Dallas after 6:00 unless it is a game day for any of Houston's Sports Teams, or a festival etc.
But if we are talking about magnificence/ importance, Museums and Fine Arts. I can't even ...etc.
Rosslyn- Rosslynhttps://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/91/Rosslyn_skyline.JPG
It isn't even comparable to uptown?????
Uptown Houston- https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...wn_Houston.jpg
Downtown- https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...ne%3B_2009.jpg
TMC- This is a bunch of hospitals, and it is still barely comparable ???? BTW that is Downtown Houston in the background a couple miles away. This isn't even the tertiary skyline, It is just sad that a suburban node is about the same size as a bunch of hospitals.
Bethesda- http://images.forbes.com/media/2009/...a_maryland.jpg
Don't know much about Atlanta but...
Downtown Atlanta- https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped..._July_2010.JPG

Midtown Atlanta- https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...DR_Atlanta.jpg
Buckhead- http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i.../Buckhead1.jpg
Tertiary/Secondary skyline is larger/ magnificent and it looks like it is along only 1 or 2 streets????
Tyson's Corner- http://o.aolcdn.com/hss/storage/mqdi...0deb626abf5753
This is supposed to be better than Dallas/ ATL/ HOU?????? This is an embarrassment, it looked like someone decided to pave over a farm and made lanes to be easily navigated with a tractor then placed Parking and said this looks to rural, let me put random office buildings and paking garages everywhere. IT is so bad I honestly thought I was looking at a picture of 10 parking garages. Frankly their is nothing wrong with this but you are trying to say an abnormally large office park is better than DOWNTOWN of te 4th, 5th and 9th MSA's in the us, really???????? This is how the Energy Corridor is going to look in 30 years.
Energy Corridor- http://media.culturemap.com/crop/6e/...-10_122927.jpg Congrats to Tyson's for managing to Out-Highway all of Houston in one picture.

I looked up Silver Springs and Ocala Florida came up as well as a map of an amusement park.
Silver Springs- https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1164/1...ad6a847b_b.jpg
You must be kidding me. Like seriously please tell me this is the wrong picture?????????????????????????
Downtown Dallas- http://www.iliveindallas.com/wp-cont...as-skyline.jpg
Why??????????????? Ho can anyone sane vote for Silver Springs over dallas. I mean Silver Springs and The Woodlands are comparable, Greenspoint alone whoops everything here and no one outside of Houston have ever heard of Greenspoint.
Greenspoint-
https://www.google.com/maps/place/Gr...c81e3c!6m1!1e1 Rosslyn is the only one that looks better than this.

Port Harcourt- The third world city, I was born in with less than 2 million in it's metro http://i.ytimg.com/vi/Kyb_Kq8pQvE/maxresdefault.jpg beats everything but Rosslyn.

Las Colinas- A suburban node that can only be beat by Rosslyn
http://cdn2.hubspot.net/hub/163401/f...LasColinas.png
Fort Worth- http://conferenceeventseries.org/wp-...th-Skyline.jpg
Austin Skyline- https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...10-03-29-b.JPG
San Antonio Skyline- https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...TX_Skyline.jpg
El Paso- https://www.city-data.com/forum/membe...so-skyline.jpg
Corpus Christi- https://pics4.city-data.com/cpicv/vfiles29668.jpg
Galveston- https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped..._Panormaic.png
Finally found something comparable, a small city of 40k that got destroyed by a hurricane in 1901 and is still suffering, a shadow of what it could have been.

Not true and you know it. I compliment cities all the time. You know that so you can just stop. Infact, I'm the one who normally never puts down cities. Even what I said here is just saying they have similarities. Not saying one is better than the other.

And you are still wrong.

You have proven repeatedly that you are not qualified to speak on anything related to Atlanta. Just stop.

But the bones that Downtown Houston has will cause it to become far more urban than Rosslyn or Bethesda and especially Tyson's.
I agree with you on the potential there. It's a way bigger footprint so it has way more upside. That is great that those parking lots are going away. That is the only thing holding downtown Houston back.

How is it not linear? Please explain how. What would you say it is? Does it go 2 miles by 2 miles? Does it go 3 miles by 3 miles? How about 4 miles by 4 miles?

You're being ridiculous. We all know you can't stand the fact that we have beautiful SFH neighborhoods adjacent to many of our core areas. They aren't going anywhere, so no matter how I answer about the 'dimensions' of these areas you will find fault with them.

Next.

So let me get this straight, you guys have been saying it's not linear because you've included all those single family homes?

What are you babbling about? You move the goalposts in every single post as to what you even mean.
