What I found interesting was the amount of California cities on the list...and the one person leaving Carson City, Nevada that made their population go down by one.

I'm really surprised to see Omaha up there. It has such a robust economy-I never pictured it as losing population at all, let alone more than the big Rust Belt bleeders.

^Surprised as well. Maybe they're just escaping into the surrounding suburbs?

Estimates are just estimates. This year they were more bullish across the bored. I'd wager it's more of a correction from previous years I wouldn't put too much stock into it.

This listing by the OP is not accurate, for Omaha at least..it's 2014 city population estimate was 442,316, it's 2015 city population estimate was 443,885 for a 2014 to 2015 gain of 1,569.. This is according to the US Census..

Omaha did NOT lose population over the last estimate year..

Peace...

That makes sense since Omaha's growth numbers from 2010-2014 were pretty impressive. I follow Raleigh and Miami pretty closely and Omaha is in that grouping of cities based on size. Whether it fell in population or only grew slightly, I was pretty surprised to see that relative to the other years in the decade.
Are you sure that you didn't mean bearish across the board, not bullish?

Perhaps it has something to do with Con Agra relocating its headquarters to Chicago! And why Chicago?

Guys, the numbers for Omaha on this list are BOGUS.. Omaha did NOT lose city population according to the US Census estimates from 2014 to 2015. It GAINED 1569 during that estimate year as I previously stated. Go the the US Census site and look it up for validation..

I think, CLEARLY, the OP incorrectly listed Omaha and probably mixed it up with another city...

Peace...
