Some cities have a great rep and always get praise. Perhaps the city even has a low crime rate and is safe over 80-90% of the city.
Are there any cities you know of like this, but the small bad part of town, is REALLY bad? Maybe even to the point that it's forgotten or never even talked about much, though it's a terrible area that personally could rival some "ghettos" even in the toughest of cities?

I dont know if it's still bad, or even if what I watched on Youtube was an exaggeration, but what about Hunters Point in San Francisco? I never heard anything bad about SF but the video I saw on Hunters Point made it seem really tough.

Didn't think VA Beach had any bad areas.

Minneapolis use to be like this, but it has calmed down over the last decade. In the '90s Lake St on the south side was like The Wire. North may not be the worst of the worst, but it is still pretty rough and seems to be getting worse. My Northside coworkers are worried, there have been a lot of shootings lately.
