Believe me, NO ONE in Houston with a brain thinks Houston is more important than LA.

Nyc is its own level

La is its own level

Chicago
Bay area
dc/baltimore

And some order of
Philly
houston
atl
dallas
boston
Sea
Miami

I would create a separate level for Boston and Houston but after that, I agree.

I wouldn't put Houston and Boston on a desperate level. The step from Dallas to Houston, GDP wise, isn't that big, while population order is reversed.

Yes I'm aware of the jobs numbers. So this is about the only time in either city's history where you could say something like this.

Not at all. Dallas didn't suffer that badly in the 80s. Houston was a ghost town.

Not as bad but still pretty damn bad. Then in the early 00s, it went bust worse than Houston.

Houston and Boston are not on the same level at all. I thought I'd seen it all when people from Texas started saying Houston was on the same level at Boston, but now they are starting to say that it's on par with cities like LA and Chicago. If there is anything the threads about Houston have taught me these past couple of days it's that Houston Boosters are quite possibly the most annoying thing on City data. Granted, most Texans on here are reasonable and don't spout out false claims. It's just a couple of Houston boosts (maybe they are all the same person) but BOY there are some very delusional people out there.

What Houston posters are saying its on par with LA and Chicago? There is one persom from Chicago saying it for some reason but that's it. Please double check and you'll see Texans aren't saying it.
