Phrased in such a way because Raleigh and Durham come up as "Raleigh-Durham" on Craig's list, and I dont know why that is.

Public transportation, COL, work. People. Etc.

Raleigh/Durham is the metro area as a whole.

Share a airport(RDU), plus with RTP, you have a good chunk of people living in the triangle(Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) all working in the same place.
