10,000 units in DTLA seems comparable to the area of Charlotte that won. But that area had a 100% increase including already built. If you add that 5,000 or so to the 10,000 now under construction in DTLA that's probably more like a 50% increase not 100%. Guess that's why LA didn't make the cut.

To be fair, looking at the map of the Charlotte submarket, I mean, that's a huge area...we're talking 5-10 square miles? The numbers aren't as impressive anymore...if it was just Uptown, I'd be very impressed.

Midtown Atlanta for example is like literally .7 square miles and currently has 4600 multi-family units U/C so if you do units under construction per square mile, things get a little more interesting for certain cities.
