I like both, but prefer SC just because of the beaches, thats about it. Tough call.

You think this poll is silly, but then choose NC just because your dad was born there? Okaaaaaaaay.

I voted South Carolina just because I like the people there better. People in North Carolina just have this whole "we're making more progress than you" thing going on with their personalities.

SC.

I love NC, don't get me wrong. It has some great cities.

But SC has nicer beaches and a more relaxed pace of life. And the cities have more historical character.

I've lived in both.

This poll is ridiculous.

They're totally different States.

NC is better run, if you ask me. It's more prepared for the future. It's more economically viable. Education is a higher priority.

(As a native South Carolinian, it pains me to say all that, but my experiences in both have led me to believe that it's true.)

SC has an enormous amount going for it. It needs to shake off the cobwebs, though. That's happening in some areas.

So, in short, no vote on which one is "better", because what's that mean anyway?

They're both great, and both flawed.

I'm from South Carolina. We have better beaches and nothing can compare to Charleston.
