Seattle has a good tailgating scene, like I said, but if you go to the adjacent Pioneer Square before a Seahawks game all the overflowing bars and restaurants and the streets feel like a giant tailgate party. I'd always choose Pioneer Square before a game vs. tailgating in the parking lot or a side-street.

It's cold in the winter months, but Philly's Linc is a good time! Passion and delicious food. See Silver Lining Playbook with our Philly's own Bradley Cooper. I bet Green Bay would be fun too!

Browns, Bears and Ravens are worthy of a mention.

Until the NFL forces a change (which is what they want), Buffalo! It is the only stadium where people can party in a rural suburb neighborhood.

Tailgating means surface parking lots. Surface parking lots mean suburbia, or poorly-done urbanity.

On one hand, football stadiums aren't great use of close-in property because they're not used very often. But on game day it's great to be in the middle of town. People get there by transit or park in garages.

Seattle does this well. There's light rail, heavy rail, ferries, and buses. There's a little surface parking, but a small fraction of what a suburban stadium would have. Seahawks Stadium and adjacent Safeco Field each have a garage, but most drivers walk from a radius of a half mile or more.

Occidental is a side street or glorified alley. Before Seahawks/Mariners/Sounders games it's blocks of peanut, hot dog, and shirt sellers as huge volumes of pedestrians come through.

Fed Ex Field, huge tailgating scene before Redskins games, and huge parking lot area surrounding the stadium. #HTTR

The Superdome not only has ample space for tailgating but is also within walking distance from the French Quarter/Bourbon Street. Plus Louisianans are known for throwing some of the best tailgating parties.

I guess you've never been to a large urban college campus?

Anyway, New Orleans should win, Bourbon St is within walking distance or a streetcar ride away from the Superdome, and you can carry your drinks there for a 12 o'clock game without anyone staring at you and your drinking problem.

So poorly done urbanity then?

Urban college campuses don't have to be sprawled.
