It's obvious both you and I have maneuvered our language a lot to fit certain language criteria in this particular forum. So how we just stop finding different ways to call each other dumb and apply that old cliche where we "agree to disagree" even though we don't really mean it?
I think it would the smart move too as I believe both our posts are on the fringes of being deleted, since that's often deemed a good solution here from my limited experience. And I don't know about you, but I find it extremely annoying when people can just come in and erase everything I put time and effort into writing, even if it does happen to be mostly drivel.
Well you see things pretty weirdly if you think everything in LA has global/nationwide recognition. A rather small percentage of Greater Los Angeles has that actually, a rather small percentage both the suburbs and city.
So no thanks, I have never been the type to "accept" nonsense just because somebody out there is delusional enough to keep repeating it and maybe even forced himself to a mental state where he seriously believes it.
If this was 5yrs ago, I'd keep arguing with you. But I see what this is...lol.

La has more suburbs that are recognized than anywhere else in America...thats just a fact.
So basically, all my suburbs are considered great and all of my city is considered great too!!! Yeah, that's not being biased at all...
How about this for an alternative though, only a small and limited portion of my city and suburbs are have that global recognition that certain people are obsessed with, the Westside and certain other small nodes that people associate with Hollywood and glam life.
Sounds more closer to reality to me.
You mean like the tiny area like south beach for Mia metro?
Even Manhattan is small for metro nyc.
What is your point?
The area from the hollywood hills to Venice beach is actually quite large in population and area.
La metro still has a ton of interesting places outside of the Westside.
Much more than dc, Chicago, Miami etc.
I mean the largest Chinatown in America is the sgv for one example.
what is interesting to me is that many are calling these LA places the best suburbs while in other threads they also call them the urban portions of LA
fundamentally it comes down to what people prefer in suburbs. Its tough to compare EC burbs to LA (even SF would draw better comparisons with some of their rail burbs in places like Burlingame etc. then LA ones in general)
A lot of the EC burbs have an old town center and leafy lots surrounding them

Burlingame is nice but when I think charming Bay Area suburbs, the North Bay comes to mind...
yes was more thinking of the DT and rail connections as the comparator
Tiburon and Sausalito etc are pretty interesting the Sausalito main strip has always reminded in many ways of New Hope PA, though they have much different building stock
many of the LA burbs feel different then these though I guess you could draw some similarities to say a Laguna and a Sausalito in some ways

Do you want to compare lists?
How many Philly burbs are known, really?
