I said I don't think LA is any less judgmental than Atlanta and the large Southern cities. And I'm talking about the actual cities/metropolitan cores here, not far-flung suburbs.

Yeah, and LA is more or less as friendly as ATL.

ATL is obviously more conservative than LA. Therefore, therefore it makes sense that there will be more people judging when they see things outside what they're used to.

More judgemental compared to LA but far less judgemental compared to most places in the South.

You're entitled to your opinion.

What experience do you have with Atlanta or the South in general?

And its just far less judgemental than the south. That matters. Alot.

Race, religion, sex, politics, etc doesnt matter as much. Ive heard many here take pride in the differences as "were a community".
Not to the extent where it's engraved in the culture.

In the South people remember faces, then take the time out of their day to converse when they see you public, they open doors and stand there until you walk in, if they have food or are attempting to get food, they'll ask you if you want something to eat. Things like that is what ultimately separates what's going in the South to what you'll see in LA.

And from what I've heard, the Racism in LA isn't any better.
