talk about the 5 cites in the topic and express your perspectives on them. you start attacking me as not worldly after I expressed my perspective about Nashville.
Greenville is 3.5 hours to the beach, Nashville is 7. you can't say Greenville is as landlocked as Nashville. I guess pointing this fact out means I'm a Greenville homer and never been anywhere else.. my point is simply I prefer Gville because it is close to the mountains but also reasonable distance to the beach, and this makes it a better location in my view than the other cities in the poll.
you can hear country music on the radio in every city in this country. that's obviously not what I'm talking about, as I've discussed numerous times now. you keep repeating the same things that i've responded to already.
No, you're a homer because you post about places you know nothing about all the while touting up Greenville.
But according to you no one listens to country music in Greenville lol. Looks like you're contiuing to miss the initial point. Country music is a big part of Nashville's culture but it's not defined by it. Though I could see where one would have that impression.
I can sit here and make assumptions about Greenville all day(palmetto trees, deep south racism, backwoods culture) but that doesn't mean much if I haven't been there. Thing is you'll never truly know a place until you visit.
I think you are homer, you personally attacked me because I expressed an opinion. I wouldn't accuse somebody of not having been anywhere else if they didn't like Greenville or said they like some other city better.
the people on here who seem like the biggest homers like to accuse other people of that. obviously everybody has a city that they like better than others.
I said that I wouldn't want to move to Nashville b/c it is the country music capital, and it is 7 hours to the beach but not that close to the mountains.. This isn't an assumption.
I never said nobody listens to country music in Greenville. I just stated in a previous post that country music is on radio stations all over the country. you keep debating strawmen arguments. what does that have to do with me? I'm talking about what I do and what I want, not about other people. obviously in downtown Nashville there is a bunch of country music related stuff. that's not the case in other cities.
anybody that says 'dude' and 'my guy' probably should be accusing other people of not being worldly. i don't think sophisticated people talk like that.

Louisville all the way. The most interesting city of the bunch especially from a cultural, arts, and especially, a food and drink perspective. It also has one of the most advanced arts scenes, tons of art galleries, and the best museums and performing arts of this bunch.
Thats because it was historically many times larger than these cities.
i don't think it is true the downtown is just Main Street in Greenville. many visitors think that because that is the only part they go to. the zoo and Cleveland Park are part of downtown and not on Main Street. the library and museum complex , Heritage Green, is not on Main Street. the arena is not on Main Street.
i don't think Knoxville feels bigger than Gville.
i don't see anything flashy and glitzy about Nashville.
Knoxville definitely feels bigger than Greenville, and I'm saying that as someone who personally prefers Greenville out of the 2.
But to say that Greenville gives off much of a city vibe is to be misleading. It feels like a large, vibrant town IMO.
Driving through Knoxville (and its suburban sprawl) on I-40 takes like 30 minutes minimum, with non-stop development on both sides of the highway (mainly due to Kingston Pike).
