Houston is several orders above Columbus in all aspects.

A metropolitan area of over 6 million verses a metropolitan area less than 2 million? Houston is obviously going to dominate in every category.

It's not that Houston is perfect and the ultimate city, it's just that it is so much larger than Columbus and is thus in a totally different league than Cbus. It's an apples-to-oranges comparison, really.

Well, the Houston area is almost twice the size of Seattle, and I'd bet most would pick Seattle by wide margins in the criteria listed, aside from cost of living, racial diversity, and restaurants. Lots of smaller cities are quite a bit more interesting on multiple levels than Houston. That said, I personally don't think Columbus is one of them.

Full disclosure: I have never been to Columbus.
