The answer to the question of most diverse major metropolitan area is not in the title. I wouldnt call Charlotte, Columbus, or Minneapolis super diverse but they are far from the least diverse. Minneapolis has a very large African born community as well as a large Southeast Asian community. Columbus has a large African born community. Charlotte has a surprisingly fast growing Central American community.
The answer to the question is either Pittsburgh or Cincinnati. Statistically those are the least diverse major metro areas in the US.
I could have googled it, but i would rather hear from people from or that have been to those cities.
Charlotte in my opinion for its size is not i would call diverse. Columbus i don't know that well to have an opinion, same with Minneapolis

I guess that makes sense if you want to take into account tourists or something but any personal opinions will be skewed. Best way to judge demographics is by statistics.
Yeah I'm really not sure how I feel about something that is statistically driven, opened up to city-data conjecture driven flame wars.
Im interested to hear what people's misconceptions are...
Statistically though, this is a cut and dry topic. Pittsburgh and Cincinnati are the least diverse major metropolitan areas without question. That doesnt make them bad place. I enjoy both of them a lot.

Isn't Portland, OR on the low end for diversity as well?
