Which city is more world class?

Why?

Simple Question

Both are almost the same in walkability and mass transit. San Fran has an edge in scenery and restaurants. DC has an edge with better museums and better nightlife. Diversity is about the same if you switch out blacks in DC with Asians in San Francisco

SF now, but I think DC within the next two decades.

I don't agree with the premise that DC has better nightlife.

I have been told by black Bay Area natives that this is the case, but to each their own.

I'm guessing nightlife in both cities is pretty equally muted. DC does have an hour later last call on weekends though.

DC, for my money, had the best Black nightlife in the country, back in the ‘00s. It’s since declined quite a bit. I have to expect that it’s still better than SF’s. When it comes to overall nightlife, the cities are probably pretty evenly matched.

San Francisco. Although it is better than it once was, DC's crime rate is too high to be world class.

I wouldn't call them equal in mass transit. I think DC is the clear winner there.
