San Francisco vs. Boston has sort of been done to death I think. A few years back there were a ton of comparison threads, but lately whenever they show up they seem to drop off pretty quickly.

Geez San Jose gets destroyed in every one of these polls that the OP sets up. In fairness to San Jose, a more realistic comparison would be, say, El Paso. Or maybe Wichita.

The closest fair comparison to San Jose in a number of categories including size, diversity, etc...

that i can think of -- is Austin, TX.

Nah: on city data, SJ gets destroyed by almost any city, just so very 70's mindset

I don't know about that I am pretty sure it is because all of these threads are putting it up against cities that are objectively just better cities and are more on the level of SF than SJ.

Just like when Prime Minister of India: gave flight service to SFO; very counter productive. Horrible airport plague with delays.
