LA is a cosmopolitan city and an entertainment capitol with a beautiful setting and lovely climate.

That said, I like my cities safe, great transit, a vibrant downtown, and a walkable core and Toronto has that in spades. LA is just too spread out and the downtown is very segregated from the rest of the city by being ringed by freeways.

There’s talk of a freeway cap for the north of downtown—that’d be pretty great. Yes

I pick Los Angeles. The better city.

Toronto, by a landslide.

I used to live in LA. Half your day is spent sitting in traffic and the other half is spent dealing with phony, sleazy people and the most entitled and flaky women of any city in North America. It’s no accident that J. Cole dubbed Los Angeles The LAnd of Snake.

And we should listen to some rap artist from Fayetteville North Carolina on Los Angeles. Lol! Give me a break. You can google Toronto or any city on why people hate a particular city.

One thing I do somewhat disagree with is the overwhelming vote for entertainment in LA's favour.
I too voted for LA but there is one major caveat and that is Toronto's much larger and better performing arts and theatre scene. Toronto has the third largest theatre scene in the English speaking world as well as a mecca for the performing arts.

Take into account traffic in Toronto is pretty horrible too. 3 of the busiest and most congested stretches of highway on the continent are in both these cities and believe it or not, Toronto has 2 of the 3 including the busiest highway in the western world - the 401. So yeah - traffic in Toronto sucks.

Emphatically, Toronto. It's one of just a handful of North American cities I could see myself really enjoying living in.

There are some very friendly people here. There are jerks in every city, and transplants make it seem like people in LA are fake but the ones from here I think are friendly enough.

What a bunch of BS that guy you quoted wrote.

LA has many positives but its people are not. I've ridden the bus in LA.
