"Jackson Police are investigating a deadly shooting after a man died from an injury he had received days ago.
Just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday, October 21, officers responded to a shooting on Interstate 220 southbound near Industrial Drive. Officers found two vehicles which had sustained gunfire and a man from one of the cars, suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. 45-year-old Terrell McCord died Tuesday."
This happened on the Northside area.

I think this link will be interesting for those that wants to look into Chicago's past homicides. It's primary between 1870-1930 and delves into some general history of the city back then. Chicago experience 11,000 homicides within those years overall.
- An early morning double shooting has left one man dead and another in critical condition.
The man killed has been identified as 27-year-old Cornelius Bailey.
A second male victim remains in critical condition at the hospital. He has not yet been identified by police.
According to a tweet from Jackson police, the shooting happened in the 1300 block of Mayes Street.

It's by far the most important city, though. I mean, if 40-50 people shot in a weekend in Chicago is national news, why not highlight this too? Two ends of the same string.
What's more surprising though, is that there was a weekend in the early 90's without a shooting? Wow.
Homicides in New York up to 247 compared with 232 last year Bronx having the largest increase, with 15 more compared to last year, while Queens North has 10 more compared to last year

Good job by Detroit in reducing homicides, maybe they could even finish with a sub-35 rate for the year; that hasn't happened since 1970! Nearly 50 years
