Leave the VA, NC, California cities alone. Norfolk has 14, Raleigh has 9. You keep butchering their counts lol...
Appropriate the update for over 100 cities they are close to accurate you would never know. The cities well majority of them this year murder rate is down couple of the cities they are up this year like NYC and Boston.

Why you got set the ceiling that high Birmingham metro getting back with that ceiling. Beside Jackson Metro over half a mill, that should still count LoL.

Ugly spike in April, 12 homicides including LiL Lonnie a local rapper, and seems to have drop back to it's typical pace. Overall Jackson been having similar or more murders than Newark. The early 90s was the most hectic time for Jacktown and other major cities in Mississippi; Greenville had 18 murders in 91 i think for a pop of 44K and stayed above 10 throughout the 90s. Meridian, Hattiesburg, Gulfport, and Greenwood all hit record highs.

From what I've been told, Jackson is basically a mini Chicago when it comes to street stuff (at least amongst Black people)...I believe Larry Hoover was actually born in Jackson...add that to the old Mississippi to Chicago link during the Great Migration and it provides a glimpse into Jackson's street side
