No, not quite.

I can't accept that chicken-stratch of an analogy in your post (i.e. Los Angeles v. New York) to my comparison of Toronto v. Boston. It's quite incoherent and I just don't follow what you were trying to get at with it.

See, unlike Toronto v. Boston where the two cities have a similar range in both population and density in the core, New York and Los Angeles do not. In fact, the situation is the exact opposite. New York leads Los Angeles in the central core area density the way the Cleveland Cavaliers led the higher-seeded Toronto Raptors in a four game sweep. Which is another way of saying it isn't even close.

Also, I suppose this thread has run its course. JMT and/or CaseyB, feel free to shut it down, it has no use anymore. We can carry the Boston versus Toronto urbanity comparison in a new thread dedicated to the topic.

I have that here:

I figured you’d zero in on NYC having a bigger population than LA ...which is true of course,
I was focusing on population density....

As for you thinking Toronto and Boston has same density....because outside the CBD it doesn’t matter,
fine, that is your opinion, same with Toronto and Boston are at the same level, again your opinion,
my opinion is Toronto is closer to Chicago’s level...a bit below but closer to Chitown tghan Beantown
