Dallas is the south. Its not the desert southwest. But it not southeastern southern either.
Ive been to Miami a lot but my passport expired so not lately.
Yes DFW has added some significant new shopping areas. Look at Legacy West in Plano where Toyota NA moved their HQ and Chase is building a campus for 6k jobs as well as Liberal Mutual. These are the direct jobs. Just west of this area by maybe a mile is Grandscape it is just beginning but is anchored by Nebraska Furniture's 1.7M sf facility. Not much there yet other than a few restaurants and nothing really notable from that stand point but look at Plano Legacy West which was started about 2 to 3 years ago and is nearing completion for the three large job providers I mentioned just now.ts
I will add I do not consider DFW part of the South. Its more SW than South in my view. Houston is more S than DFW but not really southern in my view as it is a very international city. It has a huge latin American population like Miami with the Central American and South American countries natives well represented even compared to Miami. If one must put Texas in one region, Id say SW is a better fit than S from the weighted average population locations I consider Austin and SA SW as I do DFW as mentioned. So add those to West Texas and the Panhandle population and most of Tx is SW to me.

It's about time! I like the idea of weaving Atlantic Station into the surrounding area. I was talking about the Wharf in my post, but Atlantic Station feels similar in how it overpowered rather than blended into the surrounding area. I can't believe that Strip is being torn down. I went to many birthday celebrations and parties there when I was living in ATL and Rosa Mexicano has closed too. Wow.
I also agreed with one of the comments that AS should have a library.
How much of an impact has Westside Provisions had on Atlantic Station?
None, as far as I can tell. The area around WP is booming in its on right, it may be the current hottest neighborhood actually.

I see where you're coming from...
I meeeann, if we do google "Southwest Region," Texas is pictured within the Southwest. If we're fully going by that, then Texas is the livest state within the Southwest BY FAR!... which is probably why most Texans always include themselves within most things "Southern" states related, instead of the Southwest. No disrespect to the Southwest, but after awhile, you'd get tired of the same ole Pheonix, Albuquerque, and Vegas talks lol.
