What worthwhile attribute can you get in Charlotte that you can't get in San Diego?

Cheerwine, Publix, cheaper housing...

Be that as it may, I still choose San Diego. Larger city, more amenities, better weather, better scenery. Also, while not the Silicon Valley or Los Angeles, seems to be a bit more economically diverse than Charlotte.

Charlotte has a better economy, and shopping might be a tie.

I chose SD, but to answer your question the NBA and NFL is in Charlotte. However, the change of ownership with the Panthers could change all of that.
