Montreal. Less generic, more walkable, not as pretentious.

Downtown Austin or Downtown Nashville?

Ft. Worth. Less expensive, more vibrant, and more culturally distinctive than its larger counterpart than St. Paul.

Downtown Salt Lake City or Downtown Omaha?

Downtown Salt Lake City or Downtown Omaha?
I actually think Omaha has a better downtown. The Old Market area of Omaha adds an element of charm missing in dt SLC. The parkland on the Missouri river adds a nice touch too. I don't care for the super wide streets of SLC. The capital perched up on the hill near downtown SLC and the setting of the city has it all over Omaha. But when strictly speaking downtown's, Omaha takes it. The only part SLC does better is public transit.

Downtown Houston or Downtown Dallas?

Admittedly Fort Worth's vibrancy has shocked me. It was VERY lively for a city its size.

Downtown Houston or Downtown Dallas?
Downtown Houston for so many reasons

#1 It's so much better put together
#2 It's far more cultural and vibrant
#3 It's not image conscious

Downtown Milwaukee because it is more cohesive. I like the grid and lakefront. Milwaukee is well known for its bar scene. I like a city that does not take itself too seriously.

Downtown Jacksonville or Downtown Birmingham?
