Even though Minneapolis has come up quite a bit in recent years, Boston takes this is in a landslide in my opinion based on culture, the arts and history (museums, etc) alone. Providence is a great city for it's size but is out of place here.

if I could afford Boston comfortably, I'd be there. Instead, I chose Providence. I work right in between both.

It depends on how much money you have. If money is no issue then Boston. On a real life budget, Minneapolis.
