So the south of the country is growing quite rapidly. Much of the reason for people moving has to do with COL being lower in the south. Basically this seems to be almost entirely driven by the high cost of housing on the west coast & northeast.

So here is my question, where are the best metros for QOL? How about name the top 3. The one place I hear constantly is about Austin. What other areas would you be happy with living in (or relatively happy). You can go off of the normal things that you would consider - weather, fun, downtown, amenities, safety, education etc.

What are the best metros for living in the sunbelt region of the country?

Nashville is not in the Sunbelt. There are also several cities excluded.

You only listed two western based cities, PHX and Tucson.
Where are Las Vegas, California metros, ABQ, etc.?

There is sketchy consensus on what is considered Sun Belt, anyway, so there is going to be difficulty answering this question...

For example, to me, Nashville is clearly a Sun Belt city, while I only consider Southern California Sun Belt. Already in this thread, we've found at least two people who disagree with me. That's where this thread is going...

Yeah it's typical the northern boundary of the Sunbelt that is in contention, but I think it's clear that at the least, some of those cities should be considered 'Sunbelt-adjacent,' such as San Jose and VA Beach.

It's also interesting to see how most conceive of the Sunbelt (as well as the Rustbelt) as consisting of large metropolitan areas first and foremost, which is the basis of the term anyway, and how it contrasts with the way other regions are conceived.
