Anything over 70 is too hot to be out in the open for very long. And that's with a lot of sunblock. So I'll take areas with tree cover.
It's in the 70s right now in LA with all the smoke in the air, but it's astounding to see everyone is still out doing things in shorts. I couldn't imagine over 70 being bad for recreation I say 70-80 is perfect for outdoors like the weather right now in SoCal.
LA has everything. Beaches, mountains, everything. Not to mention it has multiple urban centers, downtown, Long Beach, West LA/Hollywood. Can't beat LA
The problem is LA has all the people too, so the beaches and trails along with the highways that get you to them are packed to detrimental levels. LA has it all but gets major deductions for access and quality due to the crowds.

I'm good to 95 and lucky for me there is almost zero days where the temp doesn't land below 95 for some portion of the morning here in Phoenix. Tree cover sounds nice, but it usually comes with the requirement for bug repellent, I'll take the Southwest over every other region personally.
Staten Island isn’t preserved nature though. It’s a landfill that nature grew on top of. And it’s hardly comparable to nice outdoors areas of the US.
Staten Island does have preserved nature, though there is a very prominent and large park built over a massive former landfill which is as you say. The borough doesn’t hold the premier bit of nature in the area, but what it has is nice and fairly accessible.

This is just not true for many. I hike, go to the beach, visit parks on a weekly basis and seldom have detramental crowd problems. Elysian Park, Kennth Hahn, never have crowd problems. As a photographer I travel around the city. Today I was in Pacific Palisades, Santa Mknica, Olvera St, Union Station and LA Live.

Same, it's insane how much I am out enjoying the recreation at least 4 times a week there is traffic, but even with traffic I can't think of any city has the same combination with the weather that makes it enjoyable.
I love that Seattle is on the Salish Sea such a beautifully setting. A city where you can take day trips to three national parks and one National Monument. My Rainer, Olympic, North Cascades and My St Helens. Seattle is only 18 miles to Tiger Summit on Tiger Mountain biking and hiking. And less than an hour to Snoqualmie Summit Ski resort area. I love downtown Seattle so much to do. Great malls many department stores . Pike Place Market, Seattle Center, and water on three sides South Lake Union, Salish Sea and Lake Wasington.

True, but weather has a direct affect on the ability to use and enjoy the outdoor recreation. Many activities can’t be done, or at the very least in a comfortable manner in the cold and/or rain and snow. For this reason alone the Pacific Northwest of the United States and Canada cannot be the best.
