The Space Needle adds depth and sense of place to the Seattle skyline that, IMO, no other city can compete with. The juxtaposition of the Needle, the downtown skyscrapers, mountains and waterways make Seattle the runaway winner.

omg ikr, I was right there with you-until I came back to the US after a rather long stint overseas and had to take a double take when I saw the skyline. I was like"where is that?" SFs boring, dated skyline has had quite the facelift
You didn't get the best view of SF's. From the East Bay approach, or from the GG Bridge, the pyramid is more prominent. That's the best view, IMO. That would be a fair comparison, to the shot with the Space Needle prominent.
However, the first shot of SF displays the Bay very well, so I'll still vote for SF.

I give Seattle points in it being more dynamic because it’s oriented along a relatively straight waterfront so you can make at more individual buildings more. But if we are talking about architectural depth... San Fran has the Golden Gate Bridge lol.
