The tallest towers in Atlanta are in downtown and Midtown. Not sure where you're getting Buckhead from.

I don't recall anything in the last ten years up by Perimeter Mall but the King and Queen towers were always a great idea.
The first building of State Farm's campus opened not too long ago. There will eventually be three towers on the site; the second is under construction and the third is slated for completion in two-three years.

This 16-story tower is under construction in Dunwoody also:

Give it 3 or 4 years and Austin will pass Atlanta though.

Austin's skyline is more on par with Buckhead. The pic below is at most 50% of Buckhead's skyline, but is the densest part.

Picture below is Buckhead Village which is South of the pic above.

Should have added Miami to the mix.

Atlanta has the best skyline in the south IMO! The architect and tree canopy meshes perfectly together, from Downtown to Buckhead.

Atlanta

Austin/Houston

Dallas.

I think Dallas has such a tacky skyline. I don't know the exact names but I hate the ball and how the crown on the one bldg lights up at night.

I find Dallas skyline to be the most interesting of the three, especially at night. I also consider Fountain Place to be one of the best looking buildings if it’s time.

I think it looks like a CGI render, kind of like what you see in a "xxxxx city's future skyline" picture.

That said, as tacky as I [also] find the Dallas skyline, at least it's unique, and stands out as being different.
