What’s up with all these Des Moines v. X comparisons lately? This is the most ridiculous comparison yet. DFW sweeps this minus crime.

Well this is a David vs Goliath comparison if I ever saw one. Why not compare Des Moines to other similarly sized metros?

You'd be better off posting in each city's forum with the specific information related to what you're looking for and what defines quality of life for you. A poll like this is not going to provide meaningful results for you personally.

This. Though a lot of it comes down to how important living in a major city is to you. Des Moines isn't really a major city.

Thank you, that will be better for information. I keep finding things I like so much about each city then i read things I dont, it really feels like a toss up but this thread is pointing out they are so different.
