This. Though a lot of it comes down to how important living in a major city is to you. Des Moines isn't really a major city.

Thank you, that will be better for information. I keep finding things I like so much about each city then i read things I dont, it really feels like a toss up but this thread is pointing out they are so different.
This is like comparing New York City to Wichita, Kansas.
