In honor of the Red vs Red bowl, let's have a super bowl thread!

Ok, I'm not dumb enough to actually start a city vs city thread because lets be real, San Francisco would probably take it. Let's not even go there.

But to make it more unique and what I think is a much closer comparison - which has better locally created food? Kansas City has their famous BBQ, while San Francisco has been the center of clean eating and California cuisine since the mid-20th century.

I know its narrow to restrict it to "foods created in that city", but its just to have a legitimate conversation.

Also, I'm going for the Chiefs. 50 years is a long long time, and I feel like it would mean a lot more to KC than winning another championship would for SF.

The only thing I don't like about KC BBQ is how messy it can get. As I get older, having oversauced food is a no no. I personally like dry rubs a bit more nowadays, but its still tasty.

As far as locally created SF things, maybe someone from the Bay Area can clarify that for me. All that comes to mind is cioppino, chop suey, and the mission-style burrito

Its good when you're drunk (or other inebriated states). All the carbs absorb the alcohol. Most people around the US probably associate the burrito with the Mission burrito without even realizing it. I'm more of a burrito bowl kind of person. The tortilla is overkill and I feel like someone is mixing concrete in my body after eating it.

For the same reason, I'm not a huge fan of carne asada fries. It just feels too much.
