It is Seattle, but it is a double-edged sword. Spectacular hi-tech growth with Amazon, Microsoft, Expedia, T-Mobile, and non-high tech with Costco, and Boeing, (not HQ'rd, but still the largest workforce in the company). The bad news the cost of living has exploded and the homeless population is among the largest in the nation.

A note on the list...I have learned that not all lists are complete, but it should be up to the OP to include what they consider valid for their poll. In this case the op listed the largest metros in order. Users should accept that and vote for the options listed as this is a user-based site pure and simple, just IMO.

It's DC, Seattle, and/or SF. All of these areas grew at a massive clip, and there were other areas that grew as much or more in population, but alongside that are the massive growth and influence of the tech industry as well as what seems to be particularly mercurial politics that have dominated this decade.

Los Angeles-

At least 17 skyscrapers 400 feet or taller built in the 2010's, including the 1100 foot Wilshire Grand.

Over 30 miles of Metro Rail added in the 2010's.

Acquired 2 NFL franchises and an MLS franchise while securing the 2028 Olympics in the 2010's.

Denver got more votes-so surely they have something that exceeds this.

I don't know why Boston isnt higher in the poll. In the second half of the decade Boston has seen tremendous growth, and is now one of the most expensive cities in the country.

No. As I posted the OP has every right to create their own list and again he listed the top metro populations in order.

As for Portland again no. It isn’t anywhere close to Seattle as being a superstar city.

This is bogus. You really want me to believe St. Louis and Baltimore are superstar cities when Austin, Nashville, and Charlotte were not mentioned?
