Why was Coral Gables not included in the poll? I would say its skyline is better than most of the cities listed. Take a look at it below.

Midland and Corpus Christi in Texas have bigger skylines than you’d assume cities their size would have.

I was just thinking how odd it is that one of the cities on the list (San Jose) has over a million people but a skyline smaller than that of Clayton, MO, population 16,000.

Clayton is the secondary core for the whole metro, much like San Jose, Oakland, Bellevue, and so on. The municipal population has nothing to do with it. In fact, an incorporated municipality isn't necessary.

Norfolk is underwhelming for a city its size but it's cute nonetheless

Just putting it out there.. I feel like Tacoma's is extremely underrated. I'm not really sure how some of these others are beating it.. Volcano, salt water, green hills dipping into the bay, historic skyline on the hillside..

I think Boise is a very overrated city, especially on this forum, but its skyline is pretty cool with the capitol building and the soft mountains in the background.

Corpus Christi has a nice skyline for its size. Knoxville has potential, but is not building sizable towers that would help the skyline stand out more.

I've never seen any pics of Norfolk's skyline till now, but that one actually doesn't look bad for a smaller city IMO. Thanks for posting that pic! Am I right that supposedly that Norfolk set up some streetcar/tram line, albeit I think it was a small line or 2 that runs within that city and into like a few nearby areas?

For the smaller cities mentioned in this poll, I remember seeing some online pics of Duluth, MN's skyline, and liking it. I've been in Roanoke and Memphis before, and those cities have a nice smaller downtown skyline as well. They aren't very big and filled with a lot of modern/more recently constructed buildings, but both still have nice looking skylines. I know for one of the cities mentioned on this poll(South Bend) that while a few of the downtown historic buildings are nice in South Bend, it doesn't have much of a skyline if you look at it from a distance. I wish South Bend had a few more distinctive highrise buildings, so that it popped better if you looked at its skyline from a distance.

Also remember seeing a few pics of Buffalo's skyline, and liked how that city's skyline looked like. This poll reminds me that I need to look up pics of some of the other smaller cities mentioned on it(i.e. Anchorage, Harrisburg), to see what they look like. ETA that I nearly forgot about Chattanooga, their skyline looks nice as well. AND I've actually been to that city, before!
