It would be a curious poll for sure to see what the greater population thought. I would imagine someone from VA Beach might be biased toward it. I much prefer Norfolk myself.

I'm not from Virginia Beach. I'm from Colorado/California. When I moved to this area I chose Virginia Beach over Norfolk.
So that doesn’t bias your opinion of the two skylines?
Oh, I was talking about the two cities in general. I realize this was a skyline thread but this whole Hampton Roads discussion has been a bit of a sidebar. But even if all we're talking about is skylines, I still think the VB oceanfront is a slightly more recognizable skyline than downtown Norfolk. There's really nothing iconic about either of them really, though I'll give Norfolk the nod if the angle includes the Wisconsin in the foreground. That thing is impressive. It's not as nice looking as a row of mid-rise hotels on a sandy beach though. One man's opinion.
