As much as I hate snow,NYC for me. Miami is just way too superficial and lacks the refinement of NYC.I think of old money when I think of NYC,Miami not so much. People with money want access to refinement
Do you like the ocean year round - not freezing Long Island shores so far away anyway.
Do you love the sun and palm trees and picking oranges and mangos off your own trees and fresh caught fish, that day? Gardinias and Jasmine in the night air?
Flowers everywhere and aloe plants 8 feet tall?
Ah, do you mind mosquitoes and big bugs slipping inside?
Do you like winter clothes and coats or cotton, linen shirts all year.
Do you play outdoor sports, golf, tennis?
Do you like walking your dog on concrete, going down fancy elevators with doormen?
Surrounded with buildings, traffic, bad smells, elbowing people?
Restaurants and nightclubs are in both...culture of all sorts are in both.
Fly to the Met once a yr, fly to see Broadway plays or whatever FL doesn't have.
Do you like sailing year round - or snorkeling, driving down the Keys?
Questions I would ask myself is all. Plus, are you young or old...Miami would be way mellower for me now.
(So it would be Miami, for me - cuz you get all of FL with it....and enough NYers down there
to get the rudeness, see?)
The Long Island shores are not freezing during the summer months. And it is not “so far away”, it is only about 1/2 hour.
Funny because filthy rich people usually have homes in both Southern Florida and New York.
