Daytona Beach, FL. I haven’t been to all of the locations in the poll, though.

Havent been to any of these places, so I picked York because I went to New York and it was amazing, so just plain smaller regular York must be as nice, too. right?

For the mountains, I’d definitely pick Asheville and Chattanooga. For beaches, I’d go just east of Pensacola and say the Ft. Walton Beach/Destin areas. The powdery white sand and dunes are absolutely amazing, paired with clear warm coastal waters filled with sea life. It seemed almost magical.

I've sailed Casco Bay a lot. Portland ME is a pretty easy choice for this list. You could make a pretty good argument for Bellingham WA.

Voted asheville, but this is an odd list. So many good places left out for places like Tuscaloosa, Flint, etc.

There's Provo, Boise, Reno, Eugene, Knoxville, Las cruces, Waco Texas, bend or, San Luis Obispo, and state college PA just to name a few

I suppose Knoxville and Boise are larger than what the OP is looking at.

Good point about Sedona. It is in a stunning setting.
