Inner city gun violence is becoming increasingly depraved. I'm seeing more and more reports of little kids being killed.
I feel like in Chicago I've heard of like 6+ kids dying in the past two weeks. It's just incredible. They're still doing George Floyd-related marches, and although I sympathize with him, just because he was killed by a white police officer doesn't put him as more important as the many black children who are murdered by black civilians. That's just by happenstance. If anything, since George was already 46, the children matter more.
Even just in Chicago, I haven't heard much of a big response. I heard about one March against gun violence and that's it.

Chicago has gun violence marches/programs that go on for years.

There's plenty of organizations that try to combat violence in these neighborhoods. The media barely reports this first and foremost. There's always Stop the violence protest/rallies/events and grass roots organizations to combat those type of things. And while some of these things do help(might not look like it on the outside but trust me it does) these organizations can't prevent crime from happening ALL THE TIME.
What is local government doing besides throwing a bunch of cops in poverty stricken areas. More cops clearly doesn't prevent crime. Maybe local and state government should start listening to organizations based in those communities and fund more schools, put more jobs in those communities and bridge the wealth gap between Black and White America which would prevent a lot more crime than any stop the violence campaign or police presence.

Media won’t report them because of ratings they make more money when they report other kind of indents hype them and create fear.
