It was ever since the Rayshard Brooks incident, and what mayor KLB did with the APD and the police chief resigning was when things spun out of control.
The thing is, every time theres a protest or a riot, homicides are on the rise in most cities

The boy made it 105 or 106.

The city sees a 139% increase in murders in July at 105( sun-times counted 106) from 44 in 2019, while the 406 shooting incidents are a 75% increase from 232 in July 2019. That brought the year total to 430 murders , while 573 shot( at least 58 of them are minors) in July. An overall 51% increase in murders and 47% increase in shootings, compared to 2019. Overall crime, however, is down.

1 dead, 4 shot after a backyard party in the Austin neighborhood. The total now is 431.

Boston was above 10 per 100 in 2010 when it had 73 homicides.

It’s worth noting another man has been ion life support for 2 weeks. A 21 year old store clerk who emigrated here from Bangladesh for school. He was found shot in the head in a Roxbury Corner store after having complied with the robbers demands and given up the money-he was shot anyway.

If Boston creeps above 10 ... Will the Greater Boston area still hold down the rank as the Safest Top 40 Metropolitan Area in America this year once again?

Providence Metro is #2 for safest t40 metropolitan area, and it's spike is not as large as the Boston Area. I could see PVD replacing BOS as the safest metro area this year.

Also seeing Camden NJs numbers and other PHL area numbers, Philadelphia area has to be improving it's ranking a lot. I understand they had a spike, but the satellite cities and Camden are on the Decline.

Disgusting.

Look at this violent multiple felon recently released from prison then released from electronic surveillance in June...carjacking and shooting 3 cops in July, one of which may very well be paralyzed. This is progressive law enforcement exhibit A provided by cook count state’s attorney Kim Foxx. We all know Ms. Foxx likes to make soft crime cases “disappear” but now we’re seeing her handy work in violent criminal cases.

Don’t enforce QOL issues, soft crime, and let BLM/ANTIFA run amok...as the homicide victims pile up and all those little kids included.

Lighthead only concerned about rioters’ rights or that a cop called a rioter a name...can’t make this up.

Defund or abolish the police!

When it comes to actual numbers instead of population consideration, Chicago is.

I've lived in both. I do feel more relaxed in St. Louis. I don't have to always have my guard up. A lot of that is due to the density and the pace of life. But no, Chicago doesn't feel safer than St Louis.

I did the math for st Louis.... If it continues with it's current rate of homicides, it will end the year with a rate of about 87/100K. Yeah, that place is a bloodbath.

87/100k? Wouldn't that equate to being the most dangerous city in the world? Wow. Is this correct? This honestly sobered me up ...
