Not quite. There are still a few cities in central and south America that average homicide rates past 100 per capita. 87/100k would probably put it in the top 5 though. Absolutely horrible.

154 homicides 7 months into the year.

12/7= 1.71

1.71× 154= 264 homicides

264 homicides in a population of 300K works out to a homicide rate of 88/100K

I don't think that would make St Louis THE most dangerous city in the world, as there are Latin American cities with higher homicide rates... But I think it would give it the unenviable title of highest homicide rate of any American major city in history...

Chicago saw 220 homicides since the BLM-ANTIFA attack on and movement to defund and disband the CPD began and generally using the black community in their political agenda.

That’s May30-31 weekend through July 31...220 (15+ of these are kids) in 63 days.

All Columbus statues removed by Lighthead though. What a hard working mayor!

The city had 3 Columbus statues .... LOL if they were smashed or toppled you would have called for a war. The Italian community back in a day and Knights of Columbus fought for Columbus Day and statues even over the decades. Columbus was not a American Political figure or President either.... His intent was to sail to India and he hit a new Continent and not US soil today. Columbus intent was to gain riches for the Queen who financed his adventure and opened up the Americas for some not so nice things that are not very honorable.

Still he gets credit for Europeans to begin what was then the New World to conquer.

Someone missing the point here...in the city metro homicide thread but thanks for the OT Columbus lesson.

Now, back to the collateral and tragic lost black lives in Chicago...

Just replied to your political usual swipe at the mayor hyping here poor job only worrying on statues.

You used it for rhetoric and I merely pointed out it was 3 statues only in the city and not worth standing guard on as Columbus was no American politically revered figure. Sparing then police guard protection by just storing them for now till a less tumultuous era.

If not valid for this thread.... why bring it in? To just make political rhetoric mocking the mayor. President Trump did not mock her move and Trump cut a deal ..... He will send money for the mayors OK. Thes Federal Agents to aid police that was promised would not make the mistakes in Portland.

The Art of the Deal you know.... IMO. Monies to help the city was the deal.

Right, 3 whopping statues, thanks for the realization that Lighthead is even more inept and lazy...220+ and counting in her 63 days and counting attack on CPD.

Brought in to show her deflection on the real tragic issue Lighthead’s city is facing...could have been anything else but her only accomplishment has been removing statues..see, no mention of Columbus.

Lighthead cut the deal with Trump as she tries to out cojane him and men generally while Chicago’s morgue fills with black homicide victims. If you can’t handle the political heat Lori, go back to the kitchen cuz we’re tired of your “moderate Democrat” and deadly games.

58 Chicago minors shot in July alone, month 2 of BLM-ANTIFA Defund and Abolish the Police movement.

These post are best for the Politics forum. All political rhetoric. Enjoy making this thread all political namecalling too. I do not think it belongs in City vs City like that.
