That's incredible, considering its national rate was higher than Mexico's within this millennium.

Although the rate of Russia was higher of the major cities in Russia the highest rate was 46, Komi Republic in the 90s. Large US cities murder rates were in the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Komi Republic is a type of "federal subject", which seems to be akin to a state in Russia. Komi has muncipalities within it, including a capital city, so a rate of 46 may have just been the baseline. But according to the page, the federal subject of Tyva Republic (pop. 300k+) was peaking at 137 per 100k in the 1990s. That's like if all of St. Louis was its north side.

https://wrex.com/2020/10/23/man-kill...g-in-rockford/

Rockford- 27/18.4

5th or 6th homicide of this month

Could see 33-37 by year end, based on rate for the last seven months; 1st homicide recorded in March.

Do you have Chelsea MA? and where did you get the numbers for New Bedford shootings?
