LA also has a second skyline. The century city area has a more modest skyline but it is growing. I always thought it looked from the 10 freeway at night.

Theyre all expanding at a fast rate. Im excited to see how their skylines will look in the next 5-10 years.

Seattle and SF are close for me. LA has a fine skyline that would be impressive in a metro maybe the size of Seattle, but it’s absolutely pathetic for the size of LA. It’s pretty enough though, just not impressive.

Bellevue will be in the rankings in five years...its 450' flat top might be a 600' flat top by then. The first 600' tower has started digging.

Space Needle was the earliest observatory tower of that design, predates CN Tower in Toronto by a decade. The Dallas Reunion Tower was built decades later.

It was super iconic for its time and looks way better and fitting for the skyline than say the CN Tower in Toronto.

Westwood skyline looks even more imposing and is in city limits.

I would say that Bellevue is already more dense than downtown Portland. Not by height, yet, but by overall density. However, downtown Portland has a much more urban feel than Bellevue will ever be.

Yes - Downtown Bellevue's urbanity is sorely lacking, especially in proportion to its skyline. I don't think it will ever catch up to Downtown Tacoma in terms of urbanity, let alone Downtown Portland.

But if we're talking strictly skyline then, yes, Bellevue is rapidly surging. I will also say that Bellevue Downtown Park is arguably the best urban downtown park in Washington State. Seattle, Tacoma, Bellingham, Spokane, Olympia, etc. don't have anything that can compare in my opinion.
