Yes, there was a recent poll about SF vs Seattle skylines, but let's add in Los Angeles, and Portland just for fun!
Seattle has recently topped out Rainier Square giving it two 800 foot+ buildings. San Francisco is building high the last decade, and L.A. continues to shine. Portland is probably not in the same league, but it has a beautiful setting and I have included this as a parameter.

Based on three elements: Overall height, density, and beauty of the surroundings.

Seattle just wins it for surroundings and how it looks from afar.

SF for now. But LA is catching up pretty quickly with these new projects on the Figueroa, Hope, Grand, Wilshire...

Seattle is IMO the 3rd or 4th best skyline in the country.

If Seattle didn't have that gaudy Space Needle, it would be 2nd to SF, but that thing is so ugly, I put Seattle behind LA.

It's a tough choice between Seattle and San Francisco for me. I like the view from Treasure Island and would probably take it over Seattle but Seattle is definitely drop dead gorgeous when adding the Cascades and on a clear day, Mnt Raineer.

LA has the tallest building on the west coast. It skyline has always looked very nice and modern with good density. Highly underrated imo. One of my favs.
