How do they all look similar? They are all black and white aside form Septa and St. Louis, but that is to keep legibility high. The fonts and design styles used are all unique. Literally the only two that look particularly similar are LA and DC's white M in a black box variations and even those are pretty different looking.
Yea the stations are not old so they’re usually not deep underground and often times get amount of nice surface light. But again, -all the stations in Boston are so different the only themes are low ceiling, metallic/reflective, glass and bold block coloring
The waffle ceiling of DC's metro system is pretty iconic imo. It's instantly recognizable and unique.
Boston? The average person wouldn't know it's Boston. They would probably mistake it for NYC subway.
Not true. The T, First Subway Sytem..
