+100

Had a discussion with someone about my hometown in the Sipp thread here. They mentioned the shady/no go areas and i asked them to get specific & as usual everywhere that was majority black ( including my neighborhood).

When people speak on the larger cities social reputation it's also the same for small towns/cities as well. People don't have a drastically different lifestyle from either one.

I'm viewing it as virtual/social media redlining

Looking back at OP question, I'll recant my answer and say both with a lean towards Memphis. If i interpret their inquiry correctly.

What is your reasoning for leaning toward Memphis?

My guess: Blue-collar black people will be better off in Memphis, and white-collar black people will be better off in Nashville.

Many people believed that. How could you not with the tv programs and weekend trip bloggers who only describe Nashville based on one street (Broadway)? Often overlooked are Nashville's wealthy in town neighborhoods and suburbs, art and food scenes, startups and notable black colleges as some have already mentioned.
