All 3 are pretty. I'm admittedly not super familiar with these states. Wisconsin is probably the most consistently scenic with the lakes and the driftless area. But, IMO, Michigan has the most "wow" factor along the lakeshores.

There's a large chunk of the Driftless in Minnesota too, and it's quite pretty (as is the Iowa portion).

I would say that, definitely, Michigan comes out on top. Next to Michigan, would be WI (IMO). Having lived in the Great Lakes states almost forever, I'm definite in my opinions. Minnesota, is too flat and too much like the plains, for my liking. It doesn't have much in the way of a Great Lakes shoreline...just a little of Lake Superior. Michigan, obviously, wins as far as that goes, but Wisconsin has an entire eastern border that is Lake Michigan, and 325 miles of Lake Superior shoreline. Minnesota has only 189 miles of Lake Superior shoreline. As far as a "crown jewel", the Great Lakes would be it.

I'm from MN, and have family in all three states--

With that said, Michigan is definitely the crown jewel.. It's hard to beat all the coast line...

Minnesota and Wisconsin are a toss up. The BWCA area of MN is incredible, as is the shoreline of WI and Apostle Islands, Door County etc in WI. These three states are majestic and are very underrated and beautiful. Gold Medal goes to MI in this one though.

If I could change my vote I'd pick Ohio. The Appalachian part of Ohio is really pretty

I think this vote tally should be closer. For the record, I selected Michigan, but all three of these states are beautiful and diverse in their own way.

Michigan, though all are great. But Michigan has a straight up ridiculous amount of lake front land.

I'm a resident Minnesotan here - and Michigan takes the lead. Michigan is the most scenic state in the Midwest, all that lakeshore, the UP, it's a very beautiful state. I would say Minnesota and Wisconsin tie for 2nd most scenic in the Midwest.

I’d love to do a road trip that includes going through the Driftless Area. I haven’t been there before but it looks really cool in pictures, especially in autumn.

But yeah, Michigan does take the cake in terms of scenic beauty, though neither Minnesota nor Wisconsin is a slouch in that regard.
