I'm a younger guy saving up money to buy a plot of land and put a yurt down. I have a decent amount saved and am looking to buy in the next 3 years. The biggest issue is just deciding where. I work EMS/Fire and do translation remotely.
Anyone from Idaho, Washington, or Alaska around to weigh in? I also thought about Montana, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and Oregon. I've lived in the south and in the UP before.
I don't mind being isolated or having harsh weather. As long as I can find work and live my life I would be okay. Other suggestions are welcome.
