Sky Valley's just a tiny ski resort up in the NE--on the NC state line.

It's really at Dillard, GA--home of Black Mountain State Park. Clayton, GA is just a few miles south, and Franklin, NC is just north.

But go 10 miles past Sky Valley, and you come to Highlands/Cashiers, North Carolina. That's the most lovely place you've ever seen with a number of very fine golf/tennis communities. That's where the wealthy of Florida go on vacation and Atlanta's Buckhead people hang out on weekends.

Atlanta's average summer high temperatures are in the upper 80's, as opposed to the 90's in most other areas of the Southeast. It's still plenty hot and humid, but the Piedmont elevation provides a little relief compared to places with less altitude (even when farther north, like Memphis).

Atlanta versus Phoenix would be kind of a tough call for me. The Southeast is home, and I like the very green hills and dense woods of the Atlanta area. But I'm very drawn to the Southwest and desert scenery. Phoenix would make so many spectacular locations accessible.

A lot of Atlanta's Buckhead wealthy go to Lake Burton https://lake-burton-rabun.com/lake-b...omes-for-sale/ I believe Nick Saban owned a house here too, so do other NFL/College football coaches.

He's been asked twice and hasn't responded, it was obviously a clueless drive-by post. Seems some things just never change.
